Yes, I survived the first semester!

For our fist real assignment we were given this character Wendy. The assignment was to have her stand up from a seated position on a box.

Here it is my final animation for the first semester!

Skulls

For our Practices and Principles class we were to draw a human skull from reference, and then create an alien skull and label both.

group room ~ pub

This is an older assignment that I've finally got around to scanning. This was a group assignment where in groups of four we had to decide on a type of room to design (my group chose to do a pub/bar) and each of us had to draw a corner of that room. Now it didn't have to be the same room style wise, but the furniture that we had placed using a floor plan, had to be in the same place. ie the juke box is X meters away from the door, which is Y meters away from the booths, etc.

2 point Kitchen

Here is my latest layout project. We had to take our one point kitchen, take the table and chair out, and make the room 2 point with a couple of open doors, and objects on the counter to make it look 'lived in'

This will also be used for my animation final, though the animation will be zoomed in version.

Super Box!

So for our most recent project the teachers have decided to have us work on is Fallow Through and Overlapping Action. For this we had to take our previous assignment of the jumping box, fix it up, and add a cape to it.

One Point Kitchen

So my first (interesting) layout was due this week, and as you can see it's a one point perspective kitchen with a two point perspective table and chair.

Antic Box

Here's my second animation.

This assignment showed us what anticipation does in animation. Anticipation is the action the precedes the main action. For example for a character to jump up, it must first crouch down to gather the energy that is needed to go up.

In my video there are two antics. First is the box taking a 'breath' then the squash down.

Bouncing Ball ~ take one

Now that summer is over and I'm back in school, I will be updating once again. ^^

This video is my first attempt at bouncing a ball across the screen. I haven't shown it to the teacher yet for revisions, so there are bound to be lots of flaws in it. I will post the finial version with the background and all later.

art history

For this assignment we had to choose a movie style and create five versions of a 13 year old kid, who has a bulbous nose. I chose Disney's Atlantis.
